You know what sucks? Getting old…

Monday, March 24th, 2014 at 1:30 am

and I mean in the shallowest, superficial way possible. It sucks looking old.
It sucks looking at my Facebook pictures when I joined and seeing how young I look. So full of life and potential! That young, charismatic, dare I say – handsome, young man.

Lookit old me (ironically, young me) from 10ish years ago!

Now, I’m at the point where I may as well look 45! (exaggeration)

Z is in her mid-late 20s but she still looks great! She takes care of skin and face…I don’t. But I’m starting to wish I did. WHERE’S THAT SHISEIDO CREAM? I’m gonna blob a whole mess of that on!
0% care for 10 years. 300% care for 1 night. That’ll make up for it right!?

Also – this job is gonna turn me grey before my years, I know it!

When I was younger, I was always terrified that I’d go bald/balding by 30 – because of how much product I put in my hair in my teens. Even throughout my 20s, I’d wash my hair in the shower and see all these hairs fall out and it’d honestly depress and scare me (yes, I’m quite vain…and shallow). I’m thankful that, at 31, my hair is still in tact. Who am I without my hair? Just another asian dude that’s good at math. Only 1 jillion of those in the world.

MID LIFE CRISIS MUCH?!

I’m not really freaking out…but I was thinking about this in the last couple of hours.

….I’ll go do something that’s less depressing now…

*opens up Pokemon X on the 3DS* – at least I’m mentally still a child…. :)

Anime North 2014…and Prince of Tennis

Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 at 11:59 pm

Oh man…I’m really bad at my resolution! I’m barely gonna make this blog post in time….had to really think about what I was going to post!

So – ANIME NORTH 2014! I’m going this year…signed up for 3 days, which I never do. I’m not sure if I should, like, watch some anime or something in preparation.

I just finished re-watching Prince of Tennis Nationals….again………
Now I’m rewatching the not-so-great sequel, Prince of Tennis II (or, the New Prince of Tennis).

As ridiculous as the manga is (….and I still really like it actually), the anime is even more ridiculous.

“Let’s play tennis with 8 balls” – yeah, that’s freaking absurd…but I guess so are a million other things in PoT

Okay, that’s enough blogging – I’m exhausted. It was hard sleeping at 10pm last night and waking up at 12pm. 14 hours of sleep isn’t all fun and games, y’know.

De Code Adventures

I can’t give too much away (incase anyone wants to do it) but basically, you and a few more people get locked into a room for 45 minutes and need to use teamwork and problem solving skills to solve a number of puzzles, allowing you to leave.

That’s what I did today – twice. It was pretty fun and I’d do it again.

I think this kinda thing is going to be an upcoming event type trend…that’s what I predict at least….

…that is all for today.

I’m back!

Friday, March 21st, 2014 at 11:42 pm

I know I said I’d blog every day and I was really close to not blogging – today was rough, between the travel time and a major production issue today and me, trying to resolve it in a car, in the mall parking lot, without a computer or internet, on my way to the airport to catch my flight.

I bought Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 during my trip. They came out in 2012…and upon playing it…WOW. Compared to Pokemon X and Y, they look HORRIBLY OUTDATED. Pokemon X and Y are so advanced, in comparison!

Every time I travel to the US, I’m worried something random, health related is gonna hit me and I’d have to pay outrageous hospital/healthcare costs. You cannot afford (literally) to get sick there. I heard a few healthcare horror stories from my co-workers there and I was freaking shocked and how expensive the stuff we take for granted here is – well, I would hope to say I don’t take it for granted because it’s so awesome here, in comparison (from a healthcare perspective). The crazy part is that your monetary situation largely revolves around luck – get in a car accident (that’s not even your fault) and you could be paying for it for years. Have some kind of genetic/hereditary healthcare issue, or cancer or something and you’re so screwed.

Also – I found out that the downtown office, in Chicago, can be seen in The Dark Knight, during the most epic of scenes – Batman in his batpod VS Joker in the truck. I can’t wait to watch the movie and check it out!

Anyways, that’s all for now – wasn’t planning to blog much tonight as I’m pretty tired…Just trying to keep my resolve :)

Blogging Challenge!

Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

Starting tomorrow, I’m going to blog every day, until April 1st!

They may be short or long blogs…but I’m going to try to do that!

…That is all.
