The immovable snorlax

I realized this afternoon that my site has server logs which shows everyone who has visited my site(s) in the last 3 days. It’s cool tho I don’t know if I see any use to it? I guess it’s really if, say, a bot hammered my sites. Well, that’d be the most action they’d have gotten in months. booyeah.

Mostly, the server logs are documents with my IP filling 95% of them. The rest look like Google bots and/or search engine bots as they’re looking for robots.txt. WELL TOO BAD, I DON’T HAVE THEM. BOTS trying to find ROBOTS.txt? “I’m sorry, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for.”

Anyways, I did notice that a number of people go to my warrenshea.com to look for my snorlax waving gif. Of course, this is because it was posted on warrenshea.com when it was my blog (now worldofwarren.com)…but since doing the migration, the image path to that has changed.

As I was google imaging snorlax, to see if my gif would attempt to be found, I found this image, which made me lol.

Someone thinks I’m like Son Goku!? * ^____________^ *

Sleeping at midnight, waking up at 3am…and now it’s 5am >_< The fanboy in me really liked this. I developed something for work with another developer, Rakesh.

The customer sends an email with: “I found a pic of you guys, can you guess who is who?” and attached/posted this image:

Rakesh replied with: “Why fake it when you can have the real thing? Autographed copy in the mail.” and attached this :)

Anyways, it was both hilarious making the picture…and how it turned out. The resemblance is uncanny. Also, any comparison to Son Goku is quite the dream come true :)

Real smooth </sarcasm>

This is one of my more embarrassing and funny stories when Z and I were first going out. Some of you may have heard it before.

Within the first month or so of our relationship, we went to China Buffet King for lunch one day. I was wearing this tattered T-shirt…that I still seem to have (6 years later) and Z was wearing this Red Roots sweater.

Anyways, Z had just gotten up to get some food and I followed shortly after, going separate ways. As I was getting food, I saw her from behind getting food. I walked up beside her on her left, put my right hand around her waist and pulled her close so that our asses were touching, side by side. We held that pose for a moment…and then she turned away and walked away. No words needed to be said.

I sat down, with my food…and noticed Z was already sitting down. “That was fast” I thought. But as I sat down, I noticed that the hood on the red sweater she was wearing was down. It was down the whole time. But when I put my arm around her, the hood was up. I then noticed another girl still getting food, in the exact same Red Roots sweater. Hood up.

I asked Z ‘Um, Did I just put my arm around you?’ and Z, perplexed said ‘No….why?’

…

Yes, apparently I had walked up to a complete stranger, put my arm around her waist, and pulled her in close, held it for a moment…and then let go. No wonder she walked away without saying anything. She was probably freaked by the perv! …which was apparently me!

Needless to say, I was pretty damn embarrassed.

It feels nice to have my life back.

I’ve worked all 4 days and nights this week. I’ve been putting in crazy hours that kind of remind me of one of the biggest projects I ever did, around this time a year ago. Usually I leave my personal computer on all the time but I shut it off on Monday and I haven’t turned it on for 3 days in a row. That’s…pretty rare for me. I haven’t been checking twitter or gmail nearly as much as usual, I feel like I haven’t been…living. I thought I was sick this morning but thank goodness I’m not. Hopefully I’ll sleep early tonight and get some more strength back.

I knew I’d be busy these days but it’s more than I wanted…I need to step back from work and do some personal stuff…maybe this weekend, I’ll try to do some stuff for me.

I had a few things I wanted to write about but they escape me at this time. Frig, Z’s watching this weird musical Grey’s Anatomy and it’s really distracting and weird. Like, some kinda dream. Some of the music is good/good choices tho…

I leave you with a new motivated photo with inspiration from this week’s Naruto.

Two other things I wanted to write about.

First, I love Swiss Chalet. Usually. I really like their ribs, their chicken sauce, everyone has fond memories of the food. This is not a bashing of the Swiss Chalet product. It’s just that their Twitter is TERRIBLE.
if you go to mySwissChalet, and scan the twitter page, it’s 95% just apologizing to people. I get that they want to be on Twitter…I get that they want to provide a type of social media customer support…but what’s their strategy to this? I go to their page and it’s just an apologizing mess. By not discussing a user’s compliments (and I’m sure there are some), and only trying to rectify a user’s complaints, it really just looks like all they do is put out a bad product. While it doesn’t deter me in buying their products, I do find it a pathetic channel. I even followed them initially for coupons, promotions….but they don’t have any of those. It’s just a waste.

If you haven’t been to the new TD Canada Trust….it’s just one of the most terrible redesigns I’d ever seen. Not just design, functionality.

Oh god, I’m so tired, I can’t finish writing. There’s a rant in here but I’ll just let you decide for yourself. Take a look.

Can I get sued for the 2nd and 3rd image I put up? Defacing of brand? If you think I can, let me know and I’ll take them down. The rules of the internet…and the law….currently escape me, in my sleepiness…
